The storms arrived on Thursday morning, May 23, bringing heavy rains, gusty winds, and even hail in some areas, according to the National Weather Service.
As of around around 2 p.m. on Thursday, Con Edison reported just over 220 outages in Westchester, while NYSEG reported just over 600.
Meanwhile, in Putnam, NYSEG reported just over 400 outages, while Central Hudson reported less than five.
Municipalities with the most outages include Yorktown (622), North Salem (113), and Carmel (321).
Once the storm clouds leave the area, sunny weather is expected to return on Friday, May 24, with high temperatures in the 80s.
